TRAINING STANDARDS

Any pilot who conducts BVLOS missions, either in the Specific or Certified categories, will need to be trained to the highest of standards. This is no place for amateurs. Flyby Technology is the company leading the World in BVLOS practical training. This is the real deal, a flight training school experience. At the end of our course, you will understand the human factors associated with remote operations, you will have undergone extensive technical and simulator training and will have flown REAL BVLOS missions, in the rotary and Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) genres.

BVLOS COURSE STRUCTURE

Our BVLOS course runs along the same lines as the pilot training for the airlines. You will be issued with your Flyby Pilot uniform and attend our facility in Leicestershire every day for 4 weeks.

The course will be classroom based for the first 2 weeks; studying the regulations, technical solutions and human factors challenges of BVLOS drone flying. The course then moves into the simulator phase where we build your skills and confidence before migrating to a mixed phase of simulation and live flying of large VTOL aircraft.

At the end of the course, we have a graduation ceremony where you are awarded your wings and certificates. There is a prize for the best pilot on the course. The Graham Cotton Trophy.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

BVLOS Pilot training costs £10,000 + VAT which is an amazing investment for a new career in aviation. We offer payment plans, please just ask for details. We are not an elitist establishment, we have kept the training costs to a minimum (Did you know it can cost in excess of £100,000 to train as a manned aviation pilot?) as we want this opportunity to be accessible to as many of you as possible.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The flight school is every week day for 4 weeks in our facility at Leicestershire, UK. We can’t think of any other training on this level that doesn’t take years! It’s an incredible opportunity for an exciting new career.
